September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and a wide variety of Savannah businesses and organizations will support fundraising efforts for CURE Childhood Cancer with special sales and events throughout the month.

“At CURE, we know that research is the key to achieving significant progress in the fight against childhood cancer,” said Mandy Garola, Vice President, South Georgia for CURE. “We are thrilled for the support and awareness that these wonderful Savannah businesses provide and for the help towards our mission to fund targeted research and support families.”

Below is a list of activities in the Savannah area during September to support CURE, and additional information can be found at www.gogold4cure.com:

Bowls and Bubbles: The restaurant will donate 15% of sales on Friday, September 24 to CURE. The restaurant is located at 206 W. Broughton Street in Savannah.

Carlson & Co: Carlson & Co is selling gold mailbox bows to benefit CURE and are asking customers to donate $1.00 to CURE at checkout and add a point of sale card to the wall in the retail store. Carlson & Co is located at 405 North Laurel Street in Springfield.

Chick-fil-A: The restaurant will host a “Cookies for CURE” day on Tuesday, September 28 with 100% of all chocolate chunk cookie sales to benefit CURE. All Chick-fil-a stores in the Georgia Lowcountry region will participate, locations include Abercorn, Hinesville, Mall Blvd drive through, Oglethorpe Mall, Pooler, Rincon, Statesboro, Victory at Skidaway and Vidalia.

Chicken Salad Chick: Throughout the month of September, the restaurant will provide coupons for a free scoop of chicken salad on their next visit for all guests giving a donation to CURE at their Bluffton, Pooler, Savannah and Statesboro locations. More details provided in each store.

Crush Nutrition and Wellness: Crush is offering customers the option to add a donation to CURE at checkout and sign a donation card to add to the wall. Crush is located at 217 North Columbia Ave in Rincon.

Fia Rua/Kelley’s Irish Pub: The pub will have a Coins4CURE collection jar available at the register for customers to make donations to CURE throughout the month of September. They are located at 10134 Ford Avenue in Richmond Hill.

Glossy Girl Lip Gloss by Ava: 7-year-old Ava started a lip gloss company as a hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the month of September all sales of her mango lip gloss will benefit CURE, in honor of Ava’s friend Lauren who lost her battle with childhood cancer. Hiranos: The restaurant will donate 1% of all sales during September to CURE. They are located at 4426 Habersham Street in Savannah.

Ice Cream Stop: The shop will donate 20% of sales between 6 and 9 p.m. on Tuesdays throughout September. Two locations are participating: 920 Morgans Corner Road in Pooler and 13300 Highway 144 in Richmond Hill.

Intercoastal Realty EXP:  This real estate agency will make a $300 donation to CURE for every property listed or offer excepted during September. Their office is located at 5805 GA-21 in Rincon.

Marker 107: The restaurant is selling a “CURE Royale” champagne cocktail with all proceeds benefiting CURE for the month of September. They are located at 2943 Kilkenny Road in Richmond Hill.

Midnight Star Pottery:  During September, Midnight Star Staff will donate a portion of their tips to CURE as well as $5 from any sunflower pottery done throughout the month. The store is located in the Ways Station Shopping Center, 2477 Hwy 17 in Richmond Hill.

Next Move Real Estate: This real estate company will donate $300 per listing and accepted offer throughout the month of September (closing dates for accepted offers can be scheduled in October). Their office is located at 5715 Highway 21 S, Unit A in Rincon.

Orangetheory Fitness: Orangetheory is offering members an additional 90 minute fitness class for a $15 donation to CURE. Two locations will participate, check your nearest location for details: 201 Blue Moon Xing Suites 3 & 4 in Pooler and 1800 E Victory Drive Suite 2 in Savannah.

Polka Dots: The store is hosting a Football Friday promotion on Friday, September 3 with a percentage of sales of all football-related items benefitting CURE. They will also have a coin jar at checkout for customer donations. The store is located in the Islands Towne Center shopping center at 107 Charlotte Road, Suite E in Savannah.

South Fork Provisions: This September, South Fork market will donate a portion of their proceeds for the month to CURE. Customers may also make a donation through a Coins4CURE collection jar at the register. The store is located at 169 Commercial Drive in Rincon.

Southern Kafe: Stop by Southern Kafe on 17 in Guyton, GA and get a real home-cooked meal and all month long, you can donate to CURE at the register. The restaurant is located at 308 Central Blvd in Guyton.

Tosa Coffee Company:  The coffee shop will have a Coins4CURE collection jar available at the register for customers to make donations to CURE throughout the month of September. They are located at 10076 Ford Avenue in Richmond Hill.

True South: The store will donate $1 from every oyster ornament they sell during Stptember. They will also have a Coins4CURE collection jar available at the register for customers to make donations to CURE and can provide customers instructions on how to text a donation as well. They are located at 14 Moreton Drive in Richmond Hill.

Your Pie: Enjoy a personal pizza at South Georgia YourPie locations on September 9 from 5 -9 p.m. and 10% of sales will benefit CURE. Good at the following stores: 960 Morgan’s Corner Road, Suite A in Pooler, 7360 Skidaway Rd in Sandfly, 110 W Bryan St in Savannah and 701 Piedmont Loop in Statesboro.
