Chris Raiford is excited to announce his intention to run for the Bryan County Commissioner District 3 position this November.

Raiford is no stranger to public service. He has been on the Richmond Hill Zoning and Planning committee for three years and has served with several community organizations for over a decade. “While the growth of Bryan County is exciting, it comes with many complex issues,” said Raiford. “I believe it is important to maintain balance between residential and commercial growth, while maintaining our sense of community in a way where everyone benefits.” As a County Commissioner, I would be honored to contribute and collaborate with the other Commissioners, other Municipalities, and Community Members to address issues that arise in our county.”

In addition to his time on the Planning and Zoning commission, he is an active member of both the Exchange Club of Richmond Hill and Bryan County Recreation.  The University of Georgia alumni and his wife, Anza, attend church locally and have 3 sons, all of which are experiencing the benefits of the Bryan County School system.

Raiford stated “My father was a public servant all my life, so the value of civic service was something I learned early.  The idea of giving back to my community genuinely means something to me.  I feel fortunate to live in Bryan County and want to do everything I can to help our community face current challenges and opportunities we may see.”
