The Richmond Hill Farmers Market is the city’s community market, held on Saturday afternoons at the covered pavilion in J.F. Gregory Park, the 335-acre city park off Cedar Street. It’s run by its own organizers, not by the city, and it posts each season’s dates on its Facebook page and website.

Check the date before you go. The market’s website says “Saturdays, 3-6 PM,” while its Facebook page says first and third Saturdays. Facebook is where it announces the remaining dates each season, so look there first.

Getting there and parking

J.F. Gregory Park’s address is 521 Cedar Street. The pavilion is in the park, which the city keeps open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with parking, a playground, picnic tables and walking and bike trails. That makes a market Saturday easy to pair with a walk or time at the playground. The John W. Stevens Wetlands Education Center is in the same park.

Selling at the market

Growers, bakers and makers can apply through the “Apply To Be A Vendor” form on richmondhillfarmersmarket.com. Booth fees and vendor rules come with the application. Businesses interested in sponsoring the market can reach the organizers through the same site.

Other markets in Bryan County

Pembroke has its own market, the Whistle Stop Market. Check the City of Pembroke’s market page for the current season. Around the holidays, J.F. Gregory Park also hosts the city’s Tree Lighting & Winter Market; it’s on our events calendar when the date is set.
