(BRYAN COUNTY, GA.) The Bryan County School System has once again delivered in a big way to support United Way of the Coastal Empire, donating more than $60,000 through workplace giving and special events.

At a recent Bryan County Board of Education meeting, the following awards were presented for 2023 donations:

  1. The Generosity Award: presented to McAllister Elementary School for the highest average dollar raised per staff member
  2. The Chairman’s Award: presented to McAllister Elementary School for the highest percentage of giving over 2022
  3. The Caring Cup Award: presented to Dr. George Washington Carver Elementary School for the highest percentage of staff giving

“Bryan County School System stands as a cornerstone of support for the United Way’s mission,” stated Brianne Yontz, Bryan County area director, United Way of the Coastal Empire. “Consistently ranking among the top contributors not only in our county but also within the broader regional context, their steadfast commitment is truly remarkable. We extend our deepest appreciation to Superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher, the Bryan County Board of Education, and faculty and staff members across all schools. Together, we’re improving lives in our community.”
