SAVANNAH, Ga. (Aug. 2, 2022) – Electric Moon Skytop Lounge at Plant Riverside District, located at 400 W. River Street, will continue to offer monthly interactive mixology classes as part of the new Mix It Up at the Moon series. All classes are open to the public.

The next Mix It Up at the Moon classes will take place on August 10, September 14, October 19, November 16 and December 14 at 5:30 p.m., offering the opportunity to mix cocktails crafted with Sipsmith Gin, Old Forester Bourbon, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Woodinville Whiskey Co. and Wyoming Whiskey.

Featuring master mixologists and brand ambassadors from around the globe, Mix It Up at the Moon showcases a rotating series of experts throughout the year. At each event, guests learn how to make two signature cocktails as well as signature dishes from the culinary team at Electric Moon.

“Our inaugural Mix It Up at the Moon event featuring Grey Goose and St. Germain brand ambassadors in July was a major success,” said Eric Bandauski, Director of Beverage and Procurement at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. “We’re delighted to continue this series and to provide our guests with the tools and techniques to create world-class cocktails and perfectly paired small bites.”

Upcoming Mix It Up at the Moon classes and participating spirit brands include:

  • SIPSMITH GIN
    Wednesday, August 10 — 5:30 p.m.

Sipsmith Gin is the first copper pot distillery to open in London since 1820, producing London Dry Gin with signature juniper flavors that are naturally imparted during the distillation process. Known for making spirits by hand in small batches with a one-shot distilling technique, Sipsmith Gin has earned international acclaim as Wimbledon’s first official gin partner.

  • OLD FORESTER
    Wednesday, September 14 — 5:30 p.m.

Based in Louisville, Ky., Old Forester is a pioneering company in the bourbon industry with numerous historic “firsts” to its name. In 1870, Old Forester became the first company to sell bourbon in sealed bottles, not barrels. The company went on to make history with the first double barreled bourbon in 1910, the first single barrel bourbon in the industry in 1962 and the first vintage-dated bourbon in the industry with its Old Forester Birthday Bourbon named in honor of founder George Garvin Brown.

  • RHOOT MAN BEVERAGE COMPANY & TITO’S HANDMADE VODKA
    Wednesday, October 19 — 5:30 p.m.

Savannah’s own Rhoot Man Beverage Company offers a popular line of shrubs, or all-natural beverage enhancers that pair perfectly with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, which is produced at the oldest legal distillery in Texas. Tito’s uses old-fashioned pot stills to batch distill “America’s Original Craft Vodka.” The corn-based, naturally gluten-free vodka was named the unanimous winner at the San Francisco World Spirit Championship and earned four stars from Spirit Journal.

  • WOODINVILLE WHISKEY CO.
    Wednesday, November 16 — 5:30 p.m.

Located 30 minutes from Seattle, Washington, Woodinville Whiskey Co. uses only the highest quality grains, all grown in Washington State, in a true grain-to-glass approach to whiskey. Founders Brett Carlile and Orlin Sorensen were mentored by legendary distiller Dave Pickerell, and the distillery has now been awarded the “Craft Whiskey of the Year” and “Craft Rye Whiskey of the Year” for two consecutive years by the American Distilling Institute. Woodinville Whiskey Co. Brand Ambassador Nick Fenske will discuss what makes this whiskey unique. Fenske has wide range of food and beverage industry experience, from working at private clubs in California to playing a key role at Empire Distributors in Atlanta.

  • WYOMING WHISKEY
    Wednesday, December 14 — 5:30 p.m.

Co-founder David DeFazio will present Wyoming’s namesake whiskey, made from non-GMO Wyoming grains and matured in the most unique maturation environment in the bourbon world. Wyoming Whiskey introduced its flagship Small Batch Bourbon on December 1, 2012 and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Wyoming Whiskey’s partner, Edrington, has provided national distribution for a brand that is known as the Whiskey of the West.
