January 13, 2023 (Savannah, Ga.) — SouthCoast Health, a medical leader across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, will host a free art opening featuring work by Bryan County students. The event takes place 4-6 p.m. Saturday, January 14 at the SouthCoast Health Pediatrics location in Richmond Hill (89 Interchange Drive, Suite B, Richmond Hill).
The public exhibition will include more than 70 pieces of art by students representing grades five through eight. A group of Bryan County teachers handpicked the art from hundreds of submissions. The chosen creations include collages, sketches, and more.
A live band featuring middle school students will provide the evening’s soundtrack. Guests can experience the art while enjoying light refreshments.
“This art opening and exhibition celebrates the creativity of the children in our community, many of whom we have the privilege to care for at SouthCoast Health Pediatrics,” says John Marrero, SouthCoast Health CEO. “As we come together to honor these young artists, we want to show our support while reminding everyone how much we care about the health and well-being of our younger population.”
After the opening, the exhibition will remain on view through winter quarter in the art gallery at the SouthCoast Health Pediatrics location in Richmond Hill. The spring exhibition will feature art by high school students, followed by a summer show spotlighting work by Bryan County school system art teachers.
