Experience the fort in a whole new light with a guided candlelit tour – an annual tradition since 1988. Living history programs include soldiers performing their evening duties and civilian life during the Civil War. Tours include stops at the blacksmith’s shop, hot shot furnace, hospital, powder magazine, jail and more. The barracks will be open with refreshments and music by the Minick Family. Visitors will also get to see an exclusive nighttime cannon firing.
This is one of our best events of the year- so don’t miss it! We mix in a lot of history, some surprises (no jump scares), period music, a little humor, and an overall experience you won’t soon forget.
Cost: $15 per person (ages 2 and under are free).
Guests are encouraged to leave their flashlights at home in favor of an authentic candlelight setting.
