The Development Authority of Bryan County (DABC) is proud to announce that Zachary Dykes has joined the team as a Project Manager. One of Dykes’ primary responsibilities will be to work with existing industries in the community. This will include tasks such as coordinating job fairs, assisting with the planning and implementing of the Bryan County Industry Day, and tracking relevant workforce data, among others. Dykes will also assist in the process of recruiting new industries to Bryan County by helping to coordinate information gathering for requests from new projects, compiling information to be shared during prospect visits, and helping industries find properties that could potentially fit their needs, among others.
Originally from Florida, Dykes moved to Southeast Georgia in 2017. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in December of 2022 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics. In October of 2022, Dykes began an internship with the DABC that lasted until he was hired as a full-time employee in January of 2023.
“Zach impressed us in his initial interview for the internship with how honest and genuine he was,” said Development Authority of Bryan County CEO Anna Chafin. “Zach did a great job as an intern, and we are happy to have him on staff full-time now.”
“I am grateful for the opportunity that Anna, Justin, and the Board of Directors have given me, and I look forward to continuing working on the growth in Bryan County,” states Dykes. “I am excited to work for the Development Authority of Bryan County as we get to make a positive impact on the many lives here in the county through our efforts in economic development.”
