This year marks the first time that the race will take place in the evening. Georgia Game Changers will host the 11th annual run\, benefiting Family Promise of the Coastal Empire. \nRunners will gather at JF Gregory Park for the multi-heat event\, with a kid’s half-mile fun run\, 5k\, and 10k. After working up a good sweat\, runners can cool down and enjoy a post-race party featuring dinner\, raffles\, vendors\, and an awards ceremony. \nAll proceeds from the event will go to Family Promise of the Coastal Empire to assist homeless children and their families. Registration starts at $25 and will be $35 on the race day\, with $5 off registration for groups of 5 or more. The selection features a wide variety of genre: rock\, jazz\, pop\, and R&B\, to soul\, country and folk. Artists shall create an original work of art that depicts a song/artist and/or its various aspects (lyrics\, melodies\, story\, etc.) from the playlist\, to visually interpret the obvious to the abstract\, from the down and dirty\, to the sublime.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us THIS Sunday!\n\nLove One Inc. will be celebrating their 200th Adoption on July 16\, 2023 at JF Gregory Park from 2:00- 4:00.\n\nLove One is a local adoption and foster care non-profit that supports foster and adoptive families!\n\nOur goal in starting Love One in 2013 was to help ONE child find a forever family and for ONE family to have the support they needed to make the journey less challenging. We had adopted and knew the journey was full of bumps but was achievable with lots of prayers and people walking with us. We wanted to create a tribe (LOVE ONE) for families\, so the walk wasn’t so lonely. This dream shifted to include foster care and orphans who would never go home– which is now our umbrella of operations. Love One supports families who want to adopt and foster and we also have a few opportunities to support orphans in other countries who have unique needs that we can meet (feeding programs\, orphanage needs\, or other specific requests) through established relationships with partners overseas.\n\nWe have now helped welcome home 200 children into their forever families and we are humbled at how the Lord has used Love One to grow adoptive families in HIS name. These adoptions have been via foster care\, infant adoption\, and international adoption\, and have ranged from infants to teenagers and from one child to seven siblings being adopted at one time. We have been amazed at how the Lord has connected us to these families and how their stories and children have been a part of this journey. It is easy to see how ONE Adoption has the synergy and momentum to create 200. We are proof of this! Stepping out to say yes to adoption and serving families has been so rewarding\, and is the icing on the cake. Well\, we’ve decided not to celebrate with cake but with snow cones\, as we are in Georgia and it does get HOT here. Join us as we celebrate our 200th adoption on July 16\, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 at JF Gregory Park in Richmond Hill at the Pavilion. Drop in if you are one of our current or former foster or adoptive families and join us for a Snow Cone and games at the pavilion. If you are interested in meeting and talking to a foster or adoptive family to get your questions answered because you also want to foster or adopt\, join us. If you are one of our church partners\, 30’s club families\, or a part of our Century Club\, we want you there! If your family is one of these 200 adoptions\, we want you to celebrate with us! The selection features a wide variety of genre: rock\, jazz\, pop\, and R&B\, to soul\, country and folk. Artists shall create an original work of art that depicts a song/artist and/or its various aspects (lyrics\, melodies\, story\, etc.) from the playlist\, to visually interpret the obvious to the abstract\, from the down and dirty\, to the sublime.

DESCRIPTION:WHO: The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill \nWHAT: Freedom Shrine Dedication \nWHEN: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday\, July 12\, 2023 \nWHERE: Frances Meeks Elementary School; 488 Warren Hill Road Richmond Hill\, GA 31324 \nMORE INFORMATION: The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill will be hosting a dedication ceremony of the Freedom Shrine in Frances Meeks Elementary School on Wednesday\, July 12 at 11:30 a.m. The Freedom Shrine is an impressive display of a collection of historic document replicas\, including the Declaration of Independence\, the Constitution of the United States and the Gettysburg address.  The Shrine serves to remind all of us of the great efforts that have been taken to ensure our freedom. It serves as an educational tool in schools and as a motivational display in public arenas. \nDeveloped by the National Exchange Club\, the Freedom Shrine originated from the Freedom Train that toured the nation in 1947 carrying an exhibit of historic documents.  The local Exchange Club has provided Freedom Shrines in each of the local schools and in the Bryan County Administration building on Captain Matthew Freeman Drive.  The Club is dedicated to efforts supporting both veterans and Americanism to promote pride in our country\, appreciation for the freedoms granted to American citizens\, and gratitude to the men and women who serve and served in the Armed Forces.

DESCRIPTION:Unique Design X Savannah 2022 \nApril 27 – May 1\, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (daily) \nKehoe Ironworks Building at Trustees’ Garden \n$20/person for the general public | $10/person for students and seniors | $75/person for VIP (TICKET LINK)  \nUnique Design X Group\, a female-founded commercial platform dedicated to promoting collectible design\, is delighted to announce that the second edition of Unique Design X Savannah @ Trustees’ Garden will offer an exciting\, dynamic event centered around three complementary experiences: \n\nINDOOR – Unique Design X Group’s curated collectible design show\, A NEW SPACE AGE\, will be based in the Kehoe Ironworks Building at Trustees’ Garden and will feature multidisciplinary work by 25 artists\, architects and designers from 17 countries and 9 representative galleries.\nOUTDOOR – The Skate-able Object Park designed by British Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori honors Unique Design X Group’s annual commitment to working with a talented artist or designer to create a skate-able object park that will host activities that engage with the local community as well as local nonprofits dedicated to underserved populations.\nLIVE STREAMING EVENTS & ACTIVATIONS – Unique Design X will host a series of interactive talks\, livestream events and socially distanced activations in collaboration with The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).\n\nThe indoor design show\, A NEW SPACE AGE\, will feature a curated selection of “collectible design\,” defined as collectible-worthy functional art that encourages attendees to re-imagine how they live in contemporary spaces. Each designer works closely with his or her gallery and Unique Design X Group in a collaborative effort to help each artist create their own “world\,” inviting visitors to enter and experience art through an immersive portal. Unique Design X offers galleries and designers an exciting new way of working together to imagine innovative\, creative ways to live alongside functional art. \n  \nFor each event\, Unique Design X Group also commissions an artist to design a professionally engineered\, modular skate-able obstacle course that is used during activations with local charities and initiatives dedicated to supporting underserved communities. The skate-able object park at Unique Design X Savannah will be designed by British Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori\, in partnership with Tony Hawk’s Skatepark Project Org Foundation (https://skatepark.org). A portion of the proceeds from admission ticket sales will benefit Tony Hawk’s Skatepark Project as well as two local nonprofit organizations\, Urban Hope and Greenbriar Children’s Center. \n  \nSince 2019\, Unique Design X Group has hosted highly successful boutique collectible design fairs in Shanghai\, Paris\, Moscow and Miami. Unique Design X Savannah marked the U.S. debut of this popular collectible design show at Trustees’ Garden in 2021. Fifteen songs have been selected to form the 2021 Arts on the Coast Annual Exhibit Playlist\, a list that includes only music performed\, arranged\, written\, composed\, produced\, and/or created by a music artist from Georgia. The selection features a wide variety of genre: rock\, jazz\, pop\, and R&B\, to soul\, country and folk. Artists shall create an original work of art that depicts a song/artist and/or its various aspects (lyrics\, melodies\, story\, etc.) from the playlist\, to visually interpret the obvious to the abstract\, from the down and dirty\, to the sublime.
